Violinist Omar Lopez to Open for Grammy-nominated Guitarist Craig Chaquico at San Antonio's Empire Theatre
Austin, TX (Billboard Publicity Wire) May 19, 2008 -- On Friday, June 20th, 2008, internationally-renowned crossover violinist Omar Lopez will open for Grammy-nominated guitarist and multi-platinum selling recording artist Craig Chaquico on the stage of San Antonio's Charline McCombs Empire Theatre. The intimate evening of world-class, adult contemporary music begins at 7:30 p.m.
Craig Chaquico was the lead guitarist and also songwriter, producer and arranger of the legendary multi-platinum Jefferson Starship/Starship (1973-1990), one of the top ten most successful acts in rock history. Chaquico will showcase music from his million-selling contemporary instrumental solo CDs as well as the classic stadium rock hits that he wrote for Jefferson Starship.
